Experience City Fruit.

Seattle Cider Co's partnership with City Fruit began in 2014. City Fruit began dropping off apples at our SODO cidery in an effort to eliminate waste from their annual harvest. In 2015, Seattle Cider was able to "upcycle" these apples into a cider. When we started working with City Fruit in 2015, we took City Fruits' harvest viability from 68% to 98% by creating a product that benefited from the use of crab apples and apples that were not fit for donation to local food banks and couldn't be used for City Fruit's CSA program. Our largest remaining harvest was a little over 9 tons of upcycled fruit in 2016. Since the beginning of the partnership, Seattle Cider has made and released six separate vintages of City Fruit Cider, and donated over $15,000 in cash donations to support City Fruit's continued programming. Additionally, Seattle Cider provides in-kind cider donations to City Fruit board events and City Fruit's annual City Fruit Celebrates fundraising gala.
